Our Very Own Nurses' Day Celebration Since 2018!
On 1 August 2023, JurongHealth Campus' Nurses' Day Celebration took place right here, on our campus. The theme for this year, "Your Resilience, Our Pride", highlighted the values of Dedication, Determination, Patience, and Strength; values that remained innate in all our Nurses and Nursing Leaders.
Our very own JurongHealth Campus Nurses' Day Celebration since 2018, the Auditorium Foyer was filled with a sea of blue as soon as the event officially kicked off at 11am. There were a myriad of pampering and fun activities at the Learning Centre, buffet lines and live stations at the Auditorium Foyer. Of course, the main celebration took place in the Auditorium!

The auditorium was filled with excitement from our nurses, and the entertaining emcee, James, started the show with a banging entrance!
This year's Nurses' Day video focused on the values of our nurses through Love Notes handwritten by the Nurses' own family members and their work family. Watch the video here.

Nurses seated in the middle column had a surprise as they looked under their seats for handwritten cards of appreciation, written by various organisations.

Our Chief Nurse, Ms Ng Sow Chun, was invited on stage to receive an Appreciation Board from SG Cares Volunteer Centre at Clementi. The board was a token of appreciation, plastered with different notes from the various organisations!.
Special thanks to: The children, seniors and volunteers from Foundation of Rotary Clubs Singapore Family Service Centre, Children's Wishing Well, Lions Befrienders Active Ageing Centre, YWCA Preschool, PCF Sparkletots Preschool, St Luke's ElderCare, TOUCH Integrated Family Group, SGCares Volunteer Centre, Grace Orchard School, NTFGH patients and Learning Vision Preschool.

Surprise!
Despite his hospitalisation leave and leaning on his crutches, Dr Quek Lit Sin (CEO) made a surprise appearance to celebrate the special day with the nurses!
Presenting a token of appreciation to our Nursing Leaders! Thank you, Ms Ng Sow Chun and Ms Chan Mei Mei (Head of Nursing, Jurong Community Hospital) for being great leaders and an inspiration to our nurses!
Tiktok Dance Challenge
Our talented nurses took part in the first Tiktok Dance Challenge on campus, and showcased their talent by grooving to the beat! With five groups competing for the top prize, the atmosphere in the auditorium turned into a dance floor, with the audience cheering and enjoying the show!
Not forgetting the special performance from "Tok-ing Hunks", a group comprised of Dr Pang Khang Chiang (Associate Consultant, Orthopaedic Surgery, NTFGH), Dr Domineck Ramos (Resident Physician II, Post-acute and Continuing Care, JCH), Dr Muhamad Syamil (Resident Physician II, Post-acute and Continuing Care, JCH), Muhammad Rahmat (Radiographer, NTFGH) and Meslee Eni (Security Supervisor, Security & Transport, Fire Safety, NTFGH). Well done, hunks!
The Finale
The winner of this year's NUHS Nurses' Day Talent Competition, Triple M, serenaded the crowd with their winning song, "Hero" by Mariah Carey. Maznah Binte Marmin (Nurse Clinician II, Nursing Admin, NTFGH), Juwita Binte Samat (Enrolled Nurse I, Ward B7) and Muhammad Luqman (Senior Staff Nurse II, Rehab & Gen Med Ward C7) gave a wonderful performance, touching the hearts of our nurses!

Everyone was treated to a delicious spread of buffet lunch, prepared by our very own Chef and his Food Service team! There were also fresh churros and ice cream for a sweet finish. Thank you Nurses for all that you do!
