Health On (Digestive) Track 2025

Did you know that your gut health plays a major role in your overall well-being? That’s exactly what we set out to highlight at Health On (Digestive) Track 2025, where over 300 participants joined us for a half-day of interactive learning, expert insights, and fun-filled activities—all designed to get people thinking (and moving!) for better digestive health.

From engaging health talks to hands-on activities, the event was packed with energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of take-home tips to help everyone nurture a healthier gut.

Starting the Day with Movement

Kicking off at 8:30 AM, the event began with a mass chair yoga session, where 130 pre-registered participants stretched, breathed, and flowed through a relaxing yet energising routine led by professional instructors. Held at the Auditorium Foyer and Learning Centre, this session wasn’t just about movement—it was about building habits that support a happy and healthy digestive system!

Exploring Interactive Booths

Registration for the health talks opened at 9am. Participants roamed the foyer to explore a variety of booths:

Educational Booths by Our Experts

  • Know Your Poo – Our nurses explained how bowel health reflects overall digestive wellness.

  • Exercise for Better Health – Our physiotherapists shared simple exercises to improve mobility and overall well-being.

  • Sponsor Booths

  • Vitagen – Promoting good gut health with probiotics.

  • Unifood International – Offering nutritious food options.

  • Abbott – Showcasing nutrition solutions for all ages.

  • Advagen – Providing innovative health supplements.

Game Booths

Participants also had fun at two game booths, where they tested their skills and won exciting prizes!

  • Throw the poop! - poop plushy to be thrown inside a mock toilet bowl

  • Dietary restrictions - participants need to group the food in the form of magnet under light, low-fibre meals vs oily high fibre foods

Expert Talks: Gaining Valuable Insights

The highlight of the morning? A power-packed lineup of health talks delivered by five expert speakers from Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).

Clinical Assistant Professor Christopher Keh kicked things off with an insightful opening, setting the stage for an engaging session where participants learned why gut health matters, how to prevent digestive issues, and what small daily changes can make a big difference.

  • The Rise of Colorectal Cancer in the Young and Elderly – Dr Heidi Chang discussed the increasing trend of colorectal cancer and lifesaving screening options.​

  • Itchy Bottoms & Other Common Perianal Concerns – Adjunct Assistant Professor Seow Choon Sheong shed light on conditions like hemorrhoids, perianal fistulas, and anal fissures.

  • Constipation Diarrhoea. How to have Healthy Bowel Movement? – Dr Kwek Liling explained ways to regulate digestion for optimal bowel health.

  • Good Gut Feeling: Fuel Your Colon Right – Senior Dietitian Chong Shu Shan emphasised the importance of diet and hydration for digestive wellness.

  • Burning Questions About GERD: Road to Relief & Recovery – Dr Sarah Low tackled acid reflux, its triggers, and effective management strategies

  • Participants had the opportunity to ask questions during the panel session, made up of the 5 speakers in their respective fields.

Meet-the-Doctor session

One of the most exciting segments was the "Meet-the-Doctor" Q&A session, where attendees had the chance to ask burning health questions and get real-time advice from medical experts. This was a fantastic opportunity for participants to clear up common misconceptions and take home practical tips they could start using immediately.

Of course, no event is complete without goodie bags! As a token of appreciation, every participant walked away with exciting giveaways, ensuring they left not just with knowledge but also with a little something extra to remember the day by.
