Allied Health Appreciation 2025

Cheers, camaraderie, and a celebration of excellence filled the air as staff came together on 19 February 2025 for the Allied Health Appreciation 2025! This annual event was more than just a recognition ceremony—it was a tribute to the dedication, innovation, and transformative impact of our Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) who shape the future of healthcare every day.

This year, AHPs were invited to showcase their best work in three key categories:🔹 Care for Our People🔹 Care for Our Patients & Population🔹 Care for the Future & Ensuring Sustainability. With an impressive 25 submissions, the competition was fierce. An esteemed panel—Adj Asst Prof Alvin Ong, Head of Post-acute Community Care; Ms Lye Siew Lin, Deputy Director of Nursing; and Ms Faith Tham, Assistant Director of Human Resource—had the challenging task of shortlisting nine outstanding projects to be featured at the event.

Each of these nine teams created engaging short videos          to showcase their projects’ impact. These were premiered at the event, where a distinguished panel of judges, including Ms Ng Sow Chun, Chief Nurse; Ms Ong Kwee Heok, Chief Financial Officer; Ms Christina Loh, Chief Human Resource Officer; and Adj Asst Prof Kelvin Koh, Medical Director, Jurong Community Hospital, evaluated the projects based on transformative impact, teamwork, and creativity.

The event wasn’t just about presentations—it was a fully immersive experience! Staff participated in exciting quizzes related to the projects, with the top scorer walking away with a special prize. Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, a special video from the Allied Health Division highlighted ongoing efforts to engage AHPs and address key concerns raised through feedback platforms such as the Inspirational Speaker Series, Senior Director Dialogues, and the annual AHA events.

CEO A/Prof Dan Yock Young graced the event to present prizes to the top teams in each category. In his closing address, he applauded the impactful work of our JHC AHPs and encouraged them to continue driving positive change for all stakeholders.
