The recent Managers Engagement Forum (MEF) held on 26 July was an informative session that showcased JurongHealth Campus' dedication to innovation, technology, and staff development.

One of the highlights of the forum was a presentation by COO on an interactive digital wayfinding solution. To enhance the value of our physical signages, this state-of-the-art solution is designed to accurately locate users' indoor positions in real-time, facilitating seamless point-to-point navigation between indoor and outdoor areas. By offering precise and reliable navigation services, this solution significantly improves mobility and independence for all, while promoting social inclusivity.

Similarly on the note of innovation, Jonathan Yeo, Data Analyst from Health Services Research & Analytics delivered an engaging segment on Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI Tools. He highlighted the profound impact of LLMs on healthcare, noting their rapid adoption across various industries. These tools offer numerous benefits, including time-saving, simplified information processing, and enhanced patient care. However, Jonathan also addressed the challenges, such as privacy concerns, legal issues, and potential inaccuracies. He introduced two AI tools from NUHS: NUHS RUSSELL-GPT, an AI chatbot designed for clinical use cases, and Bot-NUHS, a general-purpose AI chatbot supporting administrative tasks and department specific use cases.

Valuable insights were also shared by Yulia Johan from Operations about Service Academy, a team formed in January 2023 following the approval of the JurongHealth Fund. The academy is dedicated to offering in-house customised training programmes that equip staff with essential knowledge, soft skills, and competencies necessary for delivering consistently high-quality service standards. By collaborating with internal stakeholders and partnering with institutions like the Singapore Institute of Technology, the academy ensures continuous education opportunities, preparing staff for future challenges and enhancing their career prospects.
